Notes
Note Taking Format
Excellent
research is done when you spend time taking in depth notes in your own words.
Take the time to find as much quality information as you can. Remember to not
spend too much time on one part of your topic, but spread your time over your
whole topic!! Use the note taking format that you learned in class (caveman
talk). Once you have gathered all your notes it is time to organize them. Use
the strategies that you have been taught in class!!
Organizing Notes
If you have
completed all the steps prior to this you will move quickly through this stage.
Use the graphic organizer to organize your notes. During this stage it is
important that you develop your thesis. Once you have your thesis (green) you
will want check to see if you have facts (yellow) to prove/support your thesis
and then you are ready to explain (red) your facts.
